Position Overview

Novair USA is seeking a Service Technician. The ideal candidate will provide installation and maintenance for Industrial equipment in the field. Their duties include installation, troubleshooting and repairs. A successful Field Service Technician can adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Specific job duties include:

  • Installing or upgrading equipment maintained by the company in various field locations.
  • Configuring hardware and software components after installation.
  • Performing routine maintenance on technology equipment.
  • Testing equipment to troubleshoot the issues.
  • Documenting installation and repairs.
  • Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls.
  • Teaching customers how to use equipment properly.
  • Managing the stock of replacement parts and equipment.
  • Ability to interact with various groups who are involved in a project including: manufacturing, service, and external customer. Interface with customer includes phone, email, fax and face-to-face contact.
  • Travel required up 75%.
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or senior management.

The Skills You Bring

  • 2- year technical degree or equivalent experience or certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer service role for a company involved in engineered products.
  • Experience using Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • CRM experience and Adobe Illustrator are preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics.
  • Knowledge of PLC technology is a plus.
