NOVAIR USA is returning to CSAT 2026, the Cold Action Spray Team event, this June to exhibit our on-site nitrogen solutions in Worcester, MA.
CSAT is a conference of industry leaders in cold spray technology. This innovative technology is used for a variety of applications to protect and repair metal components without melting, which is made effective with high-pressure nitrogen.
Join NOVAIR’s team to discuss how the NITROSWING generator and N2 solutions provide a consistent, on-site gas supply without delivery costs.

What is cold spray used for?
Cold spray technology is used in a variety of manufacturing applications. Typical industries that use cold spray include:
- Naval and Marine: Repairs ship components like propellers, pumps, and valves, and provides protection from saltwater.
- Defense and Military: Repairs armored vehicles, naval vessels, rotorcrafts, and other high-value components that may have been damaged in battle.
- Metal Fabrication and Manufacturing: Provides a protective layer against corrosion and oxidation and is used for repairs in a variety of metal components.
How does cold spray work?
Cold spray accelerates metal powders using a supersonic gas jet, typically high-pressure nitrogen. When the particles impact a surface, they are bonded through kinetic energy, which prevents the materials from melting. A dense, strong, metal deposit is left on the surface. Because the process is entirely solid-state, the mechanical properties of the deposited and base materials are largely preserved. This allows cold spray to restore components without warping, oxidation, or heat damage associated with welding or thermal spray.
NOVAIR USA nitrogen solutions
With nitrogen being a part of making cold spray highly effective, NOVAIR has a range of cost-effective, reliable solutions. Our nitrogen generators produce nitrogen on-site at your facility and are tailored to your purity, flow, and pressure requirements.
Relying on delivered nitrogen cylinders introduces a supply chain risk and expensive contracts. Having an on-site gas generator provides 24/7 availability of nitrogen for high-volume operations.
